Silverette® concept
Silver nipple caps were invented several centuries ago to help women care for their nipples. The concept took advantage of the antibacterial properties of silver by bringing the silver into direct contact with the skin. In 2002, after a long phase of clinical research, the original Silverette® was born. Particular attention was paid to the shape of the nipple cap with a rounded tip to follow the shape of the nipple. The success that Silverette® the Original has in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world makes them very popular. Silverette® nipple cups are a medical device (Class 1, MDD 745/2017), with Silverette® complying with all regulations. Silverette® is available in more than 29 countries and the undisputed market leader for nipple care.

How to use
After each breastfeeding session, leave a few drops of milk in each cup and apply them directly to the nipple so that the nipple is nicely enclosed in the nipple cup. Wear the Silverette® nipple cups continuously between breastfeeding sessions. When you want to breastfeed again, remove the cups and clean your nipples with water if necessary. It is important not to use nipple ointments or creams in combination with Silverette®: this may reduce the efficacy of the product. Also watch the video below for more information.
Cleaning and maintenance
Silverette® nipple caps may become dull over time. This is a normal natural oxidation process that occurs in silver, and does not compromise the safety or effectiveness of the product. To remove the oxidation coating, make a paste of a mixture of baking soda with a few drops of water. Rub the paste over the nipple caps, rinse and pat dry.
